The day is opening with cooler temperatures. It is 48 degrees fahrenheit, and heaters are a welcome addition to modern life. Today is Monday.

The body is shifting into winter gear. That means shifts in how the joints, the muscles, and the capacity to hold warmth are happening. It happens that the colder months actually inspire. There's something about the stillness and the hibernation that elicits more dreaming.

Dreams are a way to solve problems, to depart from the daily boredoms in life, and to open new awareness about things are often ignored or forgetten. It is a gift to be able to remember dreams - often they happen and one forgets, but is left with a feeling: a smaile, or a feeling of relief that it was "only" a dream.

The ones that are most fun are the ones that open the door to impossibilities - like dancing on the back of a flying horse, filled with joy. This is an experience that would be impossible to have in the waking world. But in the place where dreams happen, the feeling of achieving the impossible can happen, too.

We need to hold on to the capacity to dream. Especially these days, when the challenges the world faces - and you can name any number of them - are so complex and complicated. What is possible when everyone is on to something that could be right? Where does one get a chance to choose what is right for them, and then move into living as they wish without hurting others? It's not altogether unclear. There is a through line.

That through line has to be whatever has guided you to where you are today, to the point where you are able to stop and read this little essay. Somehow, you were able to make certain choices that allowed you to see the invitation, identify choices, and then simply choose the path you wished to take.

Dreams keep us going and they are often a place where individual questions can be answered as well as a place where composting bigger questions can happen. The beauty of this space is that you can either completely ignore the transmission or, choose to live into them once you wake up and enter daily life. It is a curiosity these days to know that many people in the world have lost the ability to dream. Life itself has become so arduous that the chance to open a new horizon has been lost. Or, maybe it's the medicines that people have chosen to take (or needed to take). Or, maybe dreaming is not important anymore. Time has somehow taken this notion away.

But dreams are waiting to be had. And when things become overwhelming, it might be an experience worth allowing yourself to have. The spaciousness of the dreamscape is one that can lead to amazing, impossible, improbable. and awesome experiences. When one considers the options in life, why not allow for this one to be among them? Missing out on dreams might be the real tragedy.
