There's More

The day was the opening to a full-moon night.  That was the gift being brought from heaven – the light of day, clear and cool;  the dark of night, clear and bright. The exploration of the land allowed a meeting with an old friend - one who has already passed through life and left a hint of what it was like to be around hundreds of years ago.  A tree, felled and left in the woods.

The invitation is to go deep with what is known, into the unknown.

The requirement is to have courage, as a first step to the acceptance of the invitation.  Then, to enter and be confident that an open heart will lead to the place where other beings and blessings exist,  but are often unmet in this lifetime. What is waiting to be shared are the blessings and wisdom of all ages.  

Since the education has been not to believe in the possibility of deep caring and love as the way to success, it is left to those whose live on the edges of society to enter and open the way.  It is in the vulnerability that is within each one, that there resides a chance to open the door and enter a new place where one might find "the answer.".

For each one, the answer might seem unique but in truth, the answer is the same: it leads to understanding the that being born a human being is the gift and prayer for humanity.  The journey of life is one that has been taken by countless others who have travelled the same road.  The truth of this is memorialized in all that nature shares in giving all the time - the light, the breeze, the sun, the rain, the plant life that sustains us.  And we take - constantly, without even asking.  When will the time come for there to be true relationship with those who have given so much?

This old tree, with its many years of existence holds the truth of what it means to have lived a life worth living.  Even in its demise, it is telling us, "There's more."
