Disorder to Order
Today the rain has arrived. The day is grey and light, with temperature at 58 degrees fahrenheit. Today is Saturday.
An old teacher says consciousness is disorder and meditation is complete order. Is this true? The point is made: how can you meditate if your life, your mind, your thoughts are in disorder? One cannot meditate if one's life is in disorder - it is asking too much. Once one understands why there is disorder, then it is possible to meditate and experience what is called "complete order.".
Maybe this is why so many say that they simply cannot meditate. It is not something that comes, no matter how much effort is put into the practice. And it seems that when effort is the lead, then of course, there can be no comfort in the stillness, silence, and nothingness of meditation.
How to get to a place where one can experience the infinite in meditation?
Begin by opening oneself to the fact of disorder in one's life, and then find a way to understand this condition - many insights should arise if one sincerely looks into themselves. Things get clear, things slow down, then meditation and true experience comes.
These words are short, the way is long. And there are no shortcuts. One must face themselves.
