Cunning Intelligence

The skies are holding beautiful and wispy clouds today. The temperature 53 degrees fahrenheit. Today is Saturday.

When someone uses the word "intelligence" - it is a way to impress, create, share something beneficial for self and others. Mostly for us. The word "cunning" is a way to impress, but to gain something to benefit self only. It is focused on "me".

A cunning politician will say something or do something that will benefit only themselves and their own self-defined and small circle of friends, but they always say "I am doing this for humanity." It's a disguise, that uses gods and humanity and caring for the common good as a tool to cover their self-interest.

An intelligent politician will operate in a way where their intelligence transforms into a certain kind of wisdom. Their impact and intent is to benefit all. A synergy is created to benefit "us." And what seems impossible to accomplish becomes a natural outgrowth of the intelligence source.

So what is "cunning intelligence?" This is a hidden quality - the talk is always about helping others, humanity, guided by a god. There is a difference between this and "wise intelligence." Anyone who speaks from a heavenly position is using wise intelligence and the receiver should be able to detect the difference. To have that ability requires practice, training, and being.

Think about the person who is constantly praising - why? You can say something once and if the receiver is aware and listening - you only need to say it once. Maybe twice. But when the praise is multiplied and the speaker is not aware of the fact that the listener is intelligent, then this might be a cunning intelligent moment. Think about that.

How do we get to a way to put the ego aside, and get back to what some call the zero point? There is no personal ego. The partiality dissolves and the Tao guides with clarity and without bias. No self, no ego, no political, cultural, ideologic bias and what is left is "what is." Nothing to say about it, or feel about it. The example always shared is the sun. It shines down during the day without choosing where, who, what to illuminate by politics, race, economic status, culture, or any other definition that humans tend to create (and divide).

The only way to get back to zero - meditation. Two ways to approach: look inward, training to the end of life, then transforming whatever the internal realizes by bringing that realization into the world. A wholehearted engagement will lead to doing things with "mindful" movement into the world. This can be called "movement meditation." It is the phenomenon of carrying that calm, relaxed, clear mind into a chaotic world full of disorder.

And finishing is as important as starting. This is a topic for another day.

"Zero is where the Real Fun starts. There's too much counting everywhere else!" words of advice from a great teach who needs fewer words - Hafiz.
