Almost Open
The day was supposed to bring rain - that was the prediction. The day instead, brought sunshine sparkling through the cypress trees and a glistening light on the rocks making the labyrinth. Another cool, and energized moment, today. It is Saturday.
Nourishment comes in many forms, material and non-material. This weekend there has been so much to fill the body and soul. The body is being cared for by the love that goes into the meals we are receiving from someone who prepares food, whose main ingredient is love and energy that sources from the heart.
The smell of fallen leaves and fresh blooms fills the air, providing a memory of when the earth held things beyond the buildings and highways so present in the city. One needs to leave that kind of space now and then, just to be reminded that there is something we cannot forget.
On most days, when traveling through the world humans have built - the feeling is to remain tight, vigilant, anticipating the next event, much like the blossom here. If one is fortunate, the chance to open in to full bloom is possible. There's a certain beauty in this state of being. This is how hope feels in these times.
